Kavinsky: French electronic music producer dies at 50
French electronic music producer Vincent Belorgey, known professionally as Kavinsky, passed away on July 28 at the age of 50. The artist, famous for the track ‘Nightcall’, was honored during a funeral service held on August 12 at the Saint-Pierre-de-Montmartre church in Paris.
Notable figures in attendance included Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, Nicolas Duvauchelle, and Pedro Winter. Following the ceremony, actress Lola Dewaere shared a personal tribute on Instagram, recalling a gift from the DJ: a print by Italian comic artist Milo Manara. Dewaere described Belorgey as an ‘exceptional’ and ‘infinitely kind’ individual, expressing her grief over their connection.
