Kawempe Muslim Ladies win CAF Zonal Women’s Champions League qualifiers

Kawempe Muslim Ladies have won the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA 2026 qualifiers. The Ugandan champions secured a 1-0 victory over Kenya Police Bullets in the final held at the Kigali Pele Stadium. The decisive goal was scored by Agnes Nabukenya in the 100th minute, during the first half of added time, after a goalless 90 minutes.

In the play-off match, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia defeated Yei Joint Stars FC of South Sudan with a score of 6-1. Etsegenet Girma opened the scoring for the Ethiopian side, followed by goals from Beshadu Tadese, Mahelet Bekel, Emush Dandamo, Mihiret Ayele, and Rediet Matios.
