Kawhi Leonard completes trade to Toronto Raptors from Clippers

Kawhi Leonard has officially completed his trade from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Toronto Raptors. Following the finalization of the deal, the 35-year-old forward posted a tribute video on Instagram, expressing gratitude to Clippers fans for their support during his seven-year tenure in Los Angeles.

The trade follows a period of significant turmoil for the Clippers organization. An NBA investigation into salary cap circumvention and misconduct resulted in the team forfeiting five first-round picks and paying a $30 million fine. Additionally, owner Steve Ballmer faces a yearlong suspension, and Leonard himself was fined $700,000 for his involvement in the scandal. The organization also faces a potential federal criminal probe regarding these violations.
