Kawhi Leonard could reshape Toronto Raptors, says Jeremy Lin

Former Raptors guard Jeremy Lin says that a return of Kawhi Leonard would act as a "magnet" for the team, potentially transforming the franchise again. Leonard was the missing piece that helped Toronto win its first NBA championship in 2019, and Lin believes his presence would make teammates' shots easier and improve overall performance.

The Raptors' proposed trade for Leonard is currently on hold while the NBA investigates allegations that the Los Angeles Clippers circumvented the salary cap through an endorsement arrangement involving Leonard and the now‑bankrupt fintech firm Aspiration. The deal, if approved, would send Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, multiple first‑round picks and other assets to the Clippers in exchange for Leonard. Lin hopes the investigation clears and that Leonard could finish his career in Toronto, joining a young core led by All‑Star forward Scottie Barnes, Canadian guard RJ Barrett and sophomore Collin Murray‑Boyles.
