Kayem Foods recalls 1.5 million pounds of meat products
Kayem Foods Inc., a Chelsea-based company, has issued a voluntary recall of more than 1.5 million pounds of meat and poultry products. The recall includes hot dogs, sausages, bacon, bologna, beef brisket, corned beef, and chicken sausage.
The recall was initiated after the company discovered that various products were stored in a warehouse cooler that experienced “temperature deviation.” The affected items were shipped between June 7, 2026, and October 14, 2026, and were distributed to stores and food service locations across the United States and in Hong Kong.
The USDA has urged consumers who purchased products with establishment numbers EST. 2515 or P-2515 to not consume them, but rather to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. As of the announcement, there have been no confirmed reports of illness related to the consumption of these products.
