Kayseri minibüs driver flees, kills pedestrian and injures police

A traffic collision occurred in the Tomarza district of Kayseri when a minibus driven by R. O. struck a car and then attempted to flee the scene. The driver drove the vehicle onto a police officer, M. M. Ç., and nearby civilians, including Faruk Utgan, who later died from his injuries. Two other people were injured, one of them the police officer. Police stopped the minibus by shooting its tires and arrested the driver. Security‑camera footage of the incident was released, showing the driver’s reckless maneuver and the ensuing injuries. An investigation into the crash and the driver’s conduct has been opened.
