Kayseri hosts festival celebrating ancient culinary heritage

The Kayseri Culture Route Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, highlighted the city's deep-rooted culinary traditions. As part of the ‘Lezzet Noktası’ project led by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), gastronomy professionals visited various establishments to trace the region's historical flavors.

The program covered a wide geographic area, including Melikgazi, Develi, Talas, İncesu, and Yahyalı. The tour focused on the craftsmanship behind local dishes, such as various types of mantı, yağlama, and regional specialties like Develi cıvıklısı and fırın ağzı, showcasing a culinary heritage that connects ancient Kültepe traditions to modern tables.
