Kayseri markets keep produce affordable despite inflation

Vendors at Kayseri's daily neighborhood markets report that prices for fresh fruit and vegetables have remained stable and low despite rising inflation. Seller Ercan Oruç, with eight years of experience, said that most items are "very affordable" and listed current prices such as peppers at 50 TL per kilo, tomatoes at 40 TL per kilo, cucumbers and eggplants at 100 TL for three kilos, and garlic at 100 TL.

Customers expressed satisfaction, noting that the markets are lively and that they can purchase basic food items without strain. One expatriate resident, Yeter Akça, who lives in the Netherlands, highlighted that prices in Kayseri are far cheaper than those in Europe, underscoring the strong purchasing power of Turkish consumers.

Overall, the markets continue to provide fresh, inexpensive produce, supporting household budgets and maintaining high demand among local shoppers.
