Kayseri pushes green transition with SME financing and city‑wide planting program

Under the Turkey Social Inclusive Green Transition Project, the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the ORAN Development Agency completed the evaluation of the Socially Inclusive Green Transition Reimbursement Financing Support Programme. The programme will grant 224 million TL in loans to 34 small and medium‑size enterprises in Kayseri, Sivas and Yozgat, supporting the purchase of 102 machines, equipment and infrastructure and creating jobs for 115 women and young people.

Meanwhile, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, led by Mayor Dr Memduh Büyükkılıç, is implementing the "Daha Yeşil Bir Kayseri" (A Greener Kayseri) vision. Thousands of seedlings and ferns, petunias, begonias and other plants are being planted across parks, squares, bridges and streets as part of a 2026 summer landscaping effort, aiming to improve the city’s aesthetic appeal and provide more green public spaces.
