Kebbi Governor Nasir Idris Rejects Claims of Abandoning Communities to Bandits

The Kebbi State Government issued a statement denying reports that it had left certain communities exposed to bandits and terrorists. The statement, released by Chief Press Secretary Ahmed Idris, described the allegations as politically motivated, false and misleading. It affirmed that Governor Nasir Idris remains actively engaged in addressing insecurity, working closely with security agencies and other stakeholders, and stressed that operational confidentiality means a lack of public announcements does not indicate inaction.

The government also urged politicians to avoid exploiting security challenges for partisan purposes and reiterated its commitment to safeguarding residents and enabling farmers to return safely to their farms.
