Kedleston Creek wildfire near Vernon extinguished

The Kedleston Creek wildfire, located northeast of Vernon and bordering the Township of Spallumcheen, has been extinguished. The lightning-caused blaze was discovered on the evening of Sunday, August 23, on Crown Land.

The BC Wildfire Service reported the fire reached a size of approximately 0.009 hectares. Before being fully extinguished, the fire was classified as being held and under control, meaning it was not projected to spread beyond its current perimeter. No area restrictions were issued in relation to the incident.
