KEDS Schedules Planned Power Outages Across Kosovo on July 22‑24, 2026
The Kosovo Electricity Distribution Company (KEDS) announced scheduled maintenance that will cause temporary electricity interruptions in numerous locations on July 22 and July 24, 2026. On July 22, work on the high‑voltage system will affect areas around Pristina, Peja, Prizren, Ferizaj, Mitrovica and surrounding villages, with outages typically from 09:45 to 16:00 and lasting up to five hours. The reasons cited include preventive maintenance, safety inspections by drone, transformer and relay replacements, and line cleaning.
On July 24, additional safety‑related work will be carried out in the Pristina region and other districts, including conversion of several 10 kV lines to 20 kV as part of the LOT_06 feeder project. Outages are planned between 08:00 and 20:00, affecting residential streets, schools and small businesses. KEDS advised consumers to prepare for the temporary loss of power during the specified time windows.
