Keesara Police officers arrested for accepting ₹5 lakh bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) City Range-1 unit arrested two senior officers from the Keesara Police Station in Telangana on September 16, 2026. The officers, identified as Station House Officer (SHO) Arkapally Anjaneyulu and Sub-Inspector Dyapa Gnanender Reddy, were caught while accepting a bribe of ₹5 lakh.

The bribe was allegedly demanded in exchange for granting station bail and ensuring the complainant and their friend would not face harassment regarding a previously registered case. The ACB recovered the full amount of ₹5 lakh from the possession of Sub-Inspector Reddy. Both officials are being produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE & ACB cases in Nampally for judicial remand.
