Kelsea Tadiwa Tafirenyika, Mnangagwa’s daughter‑in‑law, remanded in Zimbabwe over drug charges

Kelsea Tadiwa Tafirenyika, the 22‑year‑old second wife of Collins Mnangagwa and daughter‑in‑law of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, was arrested after a police raid on her Greystone Park residence in Harare. Detectives from the CID Drugs and Narcotics Unit seized 154 ampoules of pethidine, 50 ampoules of morphine sulphate and five rolls of cannabis, valued at about US$204. Prosecutors opposed her bail, arguing that investigators are still pursuing the alleged supplier, that she poses a flight risk, and that the seized pharmaceuticals were intended for foreign markets.
