Kem Tràng Tiền to close iconic 35 Tràng Tiền location in Hanoi

Kem Tràng Tiền, a historic ice cream brand established in 1958, has announced it will cease operations at its iconic location at 35 Tràng Tiền in Hanoi starting September 15, 2026. The decision follows the expiration of the lease agreement for the property.

The brand, currently operated by Kem Tràng Tiền JSC under the ecosystem of One Capital Hospitality (OCH), is transitioning from a single symbolic location to a broader distribution network. While the 35 Tràng Tiền site is closing, customers can still find products at nearby locations, including 18 Hàng Bài, 44 Tràng Tiền, and 18 Ngô Quyền. The brand is also expanding its presence nationwide with over 410 outlets and plans to open approximately 50 more stores this year.

The closure has drawn significant public attention, with many residents and tourists visiting the site to commemorate its decades-long role in Hanoi's culinary culture. The property at 35 Tràng Tiền is considered prime real estate and has previously been subject to high-value sale listings.
