Kengur se vraća doma film premieres in Macedonia on October 1

The film ‘Kengur se vraća doma’ (Kengur Returns Home), directed by Miroslav Momčilović, is set to premiere in Macedonian cinemas on October 1. This production arrives more than two decades after the cult classic ‘When I Grow Up, I Will Be Kengur’.

Rather than a traditional sequel, the film restarts the narrative from a specific point in time with a completely new cast. Starring Andrija Kuzmanović, the story follows Kengur, who finishes his football career at age 40. After obtaining a coaching license for the English Championship, he loses it due to circumstances involving racism.

Kengur decides to return to Belgrade to coach the club ‘Bežanija’, where he started his career, with the goal of saving them from the bottom of the table. The plot is further complicated by the arrival of a documentary crew from the fictional English broadcaster UBC TV, leading to chaotic and comedic situations over the course of a single day and a half.
