Kenneth Walker leads NFL in rushing during dominant Chiefs start
Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III has delivered a historic start to the season, leading the NFL with 537 rushing yards and 621 yards from scrimmage through the first four games. Following a 30-27 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, Walker recorded a career-best 177 rushing yards on 22 carries, including two touchdowns and a 76-yard run.
Walker, a former Seattle Seahawks star and Super Bowl MVP, has averaged 6.2 yards per carry and scored four rushing touchdowns. His performance has helped the Chiefs maintain an undefeated 4-0 record. Analysts note that his current production puts him on pace for an NFL-record season of over 2,100 yards.
In addition to Walker’s offensive surge, the Chiefs are reportedly looking to bolster their wide receiver corps due to injuries to Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton. The team has expressed interest in re-signing three-time Super Bowl champion Justin Watson to provide depth.
