Kenya detectives uncover KSh1.5 million bounty plot in Dr. Victoria Mutiso murder
Detectives investigating the murder of Dr. Victoria Mutiso have uncovered a KSh1.5 million bounty plot. Investigators believe a mastermind promised KSh500,000 to each of three police officers to carry out the hit.
Authorities have launched a manhunt for two fleeing officers, Inspector Kenneth Kipkemboi Sang and Bett Kiplangat Collins. During searches, police recovered a firearm linked to Sang, which the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) alleges was used by suspect Elijah Kimoi to shoot Dr. Mutiso.
In related developments, detectives recovered a second stolen vehicle, a Toyota Prado, in Kisii County. This vehicle is believed to have been part of the ambush used to intercept the taxi carrying Dr. Mutiso.
