Kenya Police Bullets advance to CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA semi-finals

The CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers in Kigali, Rwanda, have reached the semi-final stage. Kenya Police Bullets secured their spot in the semi-finals after a 3-1 victory against Burundi’s FC Ujeco. Martha Amunyoletelo scored twice, with Eglay Mukhwana adding a third, while Irene Tuyishemeze scored for FC Ujeco.

Kenya Police Bullets are set to face South Sudan’s Yei Joint Stars WFC in the semi-finals. Yei Joint Stars previously finished at the top of Group A following a 1-1 draw against Rwanda’s Rayon Sports WFC. Despite the draw, Rayon Sports WFC qualified for the tournament as one of the best second-placed teams across the groups.

In other results, Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies advanced with a dominant 8-0 win over FC Ujeco. The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia also progressed as the second-best placed team among all three groups, following an 11-0 win over FC Ujeco and a loss to Kawempe Muslim Ladies.
