Kenya Power Schedules Planned Outages Across Eight Counties

Kenya Power announced routine maintenance that will cause scheduled power interruptions in eight counties on two separate days. On Tuesday, June 30, outages are set for parts of Kericho, Uasin Gishu, Kisumu, Nyeri, Embu, Meru and Kilifi counties, with time slots ranging from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and affecting locations such as schools, markets, hospitals and factories.

A second round of planned blackouts is slated for Thursday, July 2, covering Nandi, Kisumu, Nyeri, Tharaka Nithi, Kiambu, Kwale, Mombasa and Kilifi counties. Interruptions will run between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., impacting residential estates, commercial centres, educational institutions and industrial sites.

The company said the interruptions are necessary to complete maintenance work and will affect customers in the listed areas during the indicated windows.
