Kenya Power Schedules Planned Outages in Five Counties on Aug 5

Kenya Power announced scheduled electricity interruptions for selected areas in five counties on Wednesday, 5 August. In Uasin Gishu County, power will be cut from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. affecting the Soko and Tuiyo Village area. Migori County customers in Kehancha, Taranganya, Ntimaru and surrounding villages will face the same 9 a.m.–5 p.m. outage. Nyeri County will see two maintenance zones, covering Iruri and Karandi markets and a second zone including Juakali, Zaina and Miagayuini, both from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kiambu County’s Kagia Farm and Acre Tano areas will be without power during the same hours, and Kitui County’s Katse area will experience an 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. interruption. The notices list specific villages, markets, schools and other facilities that will be affected in each locality.
