Kenya Power schedules power outages in six counties for maintenance

Kenya Power announced routine maintenance that will cause scheduled electricity interruptions across several counties. On July 29, outages are planned for Kisumu, Nyeri, Embu, Kirinyaga, Kilifi and Mombasa, with each area experiencing a blackout lasting five to nine hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Local markets, schools and telecom booster stations are among the affected sites.

Earlier, on July 27, the utility also warned of planned outages in parts of Nyeri, Embu and Kirinyaga. The same time window applies, and customers in residential, commercial and industrial locations have been advised to prepare for the loss of power.

Kenya Power has apologized for any inconvenience and urged customers to plan accordingly.
