Kenyan President William Ruto appoints new chairs to state agencies

President William Ruto issued a gazette notice on August 7 appointing Benson Gichuhi Njoroge (also reported as Benson Ngure) as Non‑Executive Chairperson of the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation (KALRO). He reappointed Lucy Waruingi as Chair of the Wildlife Conservation Trust Fund and named Robert Kinyanjui Wainaina to the same board.

Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir appointed Mohamed Rahid Abdille to the Kenya Rural Roads Authority board and reappointed Anna Robai Makawa, Dominic Kipkoech Koskei and Annastacia Mumbua Musyimi to the Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority for three‑year terms. Gender and Culture CS Hannah Cheptumo added Caroline Jerobon Rotich to the National Lottery Board, revoking Teresia Jerusah Michael’s appointment.

Trade CS Lee Kinyanjui named Aaron Nanok as Chair of the Kenya Trade Remedies Agency. Education CS Julius Ogamba reappointed Ezra Maritim and other members to the Open University of Kenya Council and appointed new members to Laikipia University, Meru University of Science and Technology and Nyandarua University College councils. Water CS Eric Muga reappointed Patrick Musili Mbangula to the Kenya Water Institute Board and Benjamin Kyalo to the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority.
