Kepez Municipality cleans waste-filled home of elderly resident

Kepez Municipality teams conducted a major cleaning operation in the Göçerler Neighborhood of Antalya to assist a 70-year-old woman living in unsanitary conditions. Following reports from local residents and the neighborhood headman regarding intense odors and accumulated waste, municipal teams removed six truckloads of trash and debris from the residence and garden.

The woman, identified as Ü. Y., had reportedly been accumulating waste for approximately eight years. Due to health concerns related to her living environment, she was transported to Kepez State Hospital for medical treatment.

Following the removal of the waste and spider webs, the municipality plans to renovate the home. This process will include painting the walls and providing new household items such as curtains, sofas, and carpets to improve her living standards.
