Kerala Accelerates Renewable Energy with Summit and Excellence Awards

The Global Hydrogen & Renewable Energy Summit 2025 was held on March 12‑13 in Kochi, Kerala, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders and investors to discuss green hydrogen, solar advancements, energy storage and other clean‑tech innovations. Narendra Nath Veluri, CEO of the Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT), highlighted rapid efficiency gains in solar panels, declining costs and the state's ambition to markedly increase renewable power capacity by 2030 through initiatives such as floating solar, green hydrogen projects and expanded storage.

The Solar & Storage Expo Kerala 2026 concluded on May 15 at the Kochi Marriott Hotel, featuring the Kerala Energy Excellence Awards. The awards recognised companies and individuals for achievements in solar module manufacturing, inverter technology, energy‑storage solutions, and leadership in the state's clean‑energy transition. Winners included Ningbo Deye (inverters), SAEL Industries (modules), Pahal Solar (AI‑driven modules), and Solarbase Luxeon (residential EPC). State officials from the Kerala State Electricity Board, ANERT and the Kerala Electricity Officers Confederation presented the honors, underscoring the momentum behind Kerala's renewable‑energy ecosystem and its push toward a low‑carbon future.
