Kerala government reshuffles IAS officers and district leadership

The Kerala government has implemented a major reshuffle of IAS officers, resulting in new leadership for three districts and several key departments. Anju K. S. has been appointed as the Thiruvananthapuram District Collector, while Chelasini V. will serve as the Wayanad District Collector and Sreedhanya Suresh will take charge as the Kasaragod District Collector.

In preparation for the 2026-27 Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season, the government has created a new ex-cadre post for an Additional District Magistrate specifically for Sabarimala to coordinate various agencies in the Sabarimala, Pampa, and Nilakkal areas. Dileep K. Kainikkara has been appointed to this position.

Other notable administrative changes include the appointment of Arun K. Vijayan as Director of General Education and Snehil Kumar Singh as Industries and Commerce Director, who will also hold additional charges for the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation and the Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd.
