Kerry-Lynne Findlay: BC Conservatives Unity Post-Penticton Retreat

British Columbia Conservative leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay said her party is unified and ready to engage with voters after a caucus retreat at the Penticton Lakeside Resort. She pledged to travel across the province this summer to share the party’s vision.

Findlay addressed recent floor‑crossings, noting MLA Amelia Boutlbee’s move to the NDP and saying the impact was limited, while she did not comment on whether independent MLA Tara Armstrong will rejoin. Although she does not currently hold a seat in the provincial legislature, Findlay said discussions are under way about a possible by‑election to allow her to run.

Policy discussion focused on Alberta’s new pipeline proposals and a B.C.–federal agreement, with Findlay questioning why the northern route was not chosen and emphasizing job creation. She also advocated for a western alliance of provinces to eliminate inter‑provincial trade barriers.
