Pune police file chargesheet in Ketan Agarwal murder case

Pune police have filed a 5,053-page chargesheet regarding the murder of real estate businessman Ketan Agarwal, who died after being pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18.

The chargesheet alleges that Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her partner, Chetan Chaudhary, conspired to kill him. Investigators claim Goyal instigated the attack by pushing Ketan, after which Chaudhary reportedly kicked him off the cliff. Evidence cited includes witness testimonies, digital records, and CCTV footage. The investigation revealed that Goyal and Chaudhary had allegedly entered into a clandestine marriage in Rajasthan in December 2025, prior to Goyal’s engagement to Ketan.

Following the filing of the chargesheet, Ketan’s father, Vishal Agarwal, expressed suspicion regarding the involvement of Goyal’s family members, including her parents, brother, uncle, and aunt, in the conspiracy. He has also called for the appointment of Ujjwal Nikam as a special public prosecutor and requested that the case be heard in a fast-track court. Additionally, Vishal Agarwal has requested police protection for three eyewitnesses who reportedly saw the incident occur.
