Keur Massar network investigation detains two women

The Brigade de recherches of Keur Massar placed two women, aged 23 and 31, in custody on suspicion of belonging to a criminal network operating between Dakar and Thiès. Prosecutors say the women are charged with association of malfaiteurs, acts against nature, and computer‑based threats.

The case stemmed from a personal dispute: Mame Diarra Fall ended a romantic relationship with Fatou Mar. Mar allegedly organized a raid on Fall’s employer A. M. Diop’s home in Rufisque, assaulted Fall, and later sent abusive messages and threats via phone. During interrogations, Mar claimed the network includes several partners and a well‑known social‑media personality. Authorities seized the women's phones for analysis while the investigation continues.
