Keur Massar police arrest two separate networks exploiting Senegalese minors
The Brigade de Recherche of Keur Massar in Senegal arrested Madjiguène Ndiaye, known as “Mathiou,” after uncovering a criminal network that recruited adolescent girls and was involved in drug trafficking, sexual offenses and the exploitation of minors. Eight suspects, including a mother who admitted joining the ring for financial reasons, were placed in custody.
In a related but distinct case, social‑media influencer Rema was detained by the same brigade following a complaint that she pressured a minor to obtain large sums of money from his father’s shop. Authorities say Rema and seven accomplices threatened the teenager to extract funds that were used to purchase a car and a motorcycle. Both investigations are ongoing and the suspects face charges of financial exploitation and abuse of minors.
