Kevin Owens clarifies past backstage incident with CM Punk

Kevin Owens has provided further details regarding a past backstage confrontation with CM Punk during their time in Ring of Honor. The incident, which has been a subject of discussion in wrestling circles, reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over wrestling attire.

Owens, then known as Kevin Steen, explained that he preferred wrestling in a t-shirt rather than a singlet to feel more comfortable and authentic. After requesting to return to wearing a shirt, Owens stated that Punk made a comment regarding his attire before a match.

Following the match, an exhausted Owens attempted to joke with Punk by asking, ‘Are you happy now?’ Owens noted that Punk did not perceive the comment as a joke, leading to a heated exchange where Punk accused him of being disrespectful.
