Keychron and Asus release updates to Hall Effect keyboards

Keychron has updated its K4 HE and K10 HE Hall Effect keyboards to support N-pole magnetic switches. Previously, these models were limited to S-pole compatibility, which restricted the variety of aftermarket switches available to users. The revised versions will now ship with Keychron’s Ultra-Fast Lime Magnetic switches as standard, while also allowing compatibility with brands such as Wooting, Gateron, TTC, OwLab, Wuque Studio, and MMD. This update does not change the existing pricing or the physical design of the 96% layout K4 HE and the 100% layout K10 HE. However, the N-pole compatibility is exclusive to the new models and cannot be applied to older S-pole versions.

In the premium gaming market, the Asus ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE has been released, featuring a 75% layout and HFX V2 Hall Effect switches. The keyboard offers an 8000Hz wired polling rate for low latency and utilizes a web-based software suite. While noted for its improved functionality and snappy switches, it faces significant competition from other high-end Hall Effect models.
