Keychron launches K8 HE All-Wood Special Edition keyboard

Keychron has launched a special edition of its K8 HE gaming keyboard, featuring a walnut wood bottom case instead of the standard plastic. This tenkeyless (TKL) model combines a natural wood aesthetic with high-performance magnetic switch technology. The chassis utilizes a walnut structure paired with brown metal side panels and an aluminum plate to provide a rigid foundation for the switches.

The keyboard is equipped with Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Nebula switches, which utilize Hall-effect sensing to allow for adjustable actuation points and rapid-reset behavior. To improve acoustics, the design includes three layers of acoustic damping to reduce resonance.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2, 2.4 GHz wireless with a 1,000 Hz polling rate, and USB Type-C wired operation. The device features double-shot PBT keycaps in Keychron’s OSA profile and north-facing per-key RGB lighting. It is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery, which Keychron claims can provide up to 110 hours of use with the backlight turned off. The retail price is set at $199.99.
