KFC Australia overhauls menu to counter rising competition
KFC Australia is implementing a major menu overhaul to combat rising competition from rivals such as El Jannah, Guzman y Gomez, and Wingstop. The strategy includes relaunching chicken tenders that are 30 per cent larger and crispier than previous versions.
This product update follows customer complaints regarding the size and texture of previous boneless offerings. As part of the relaunch, KFC has also expanded its dipping sauce selection to 11 varieties. The new tender bundles have seen price increases, with a three-pack rising from $9.45 to $10.95 and a five-pack increasing from $12.95 to $14.95.
Vanessa Rowed, Chief Marketing Officer at Yum! Brands, stated that the company aims to set a new benchmark for its entire portfolio. The company is also working to halve the time it takes to bring globally trending flavors to the Australian market.
