KGL Foundation pledges $200,000 for Ghana juvenile football

The KGL Foundation has committed $200,000 to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to support juvenile football over the next two years. This funding will commence with the launch of the 2026 KGL U-17 Inter-regional Colts Championship.

In addition to financial support, KGL will provide participating teams with football kits, including home and away jerseys, as well as equipment such as footballs, bibs, and cones. The initiative also includes the provision of educational scholarships for some of the competition's top players.

Since its inception in 2021, the championship has focused on talent discovery and youth development, helping players transition to local clubs and Ghana's national U-17 teams. The program aims to nurture talent from the district level through to the national phase while fostering regional unity.
