Khadre Caliph Cheikh Saad Bouh dies in Dakar at 96

Cheikh Saad Bouh Ould Cheikh Mouhamed Takhiyoullah, the ninth Caliph of the Khadre community, has passed away at the age of 96. He died at the Hôpital Principal in Dakar, Senegal.

Known by his followers as ‘Yaguene,’ he had held the position of General Caliph of the Khadrya since 2022. Throughout his life, he was recognized for preaching unity and kindness, working to bring together the Khadre family across various regions including Dakar, Nimzatt, Louga, and Thiès.

He will be buried in Nimzatt, Mauritania. Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye expressed his deep sorrow following the announcement of the leader's death.
