Khadre Khalife Cheikh Saad Bouh dies at 96

Cheikh Saad Bouh Ould Cheikh Mouhamed Takhiyoullah, the ninth Khalife of the Khadre community, has passed away at the age of 96. He died at the Hôpital Principal in Dakar.

Known by his followers as ‘Yaguene’, the leader had held the position since 2022 following the death of Cheikh Aya Aïdara. He was recognized for his efforts to unify the Khadre spiritual family across regions including Dakar, Nimzatt, Louga, and Thiès.

Family spokesperson Cheikh Atkhana Aïdara announced that the deceased will be buried in Nimzatt, Mauritania. Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye expressed his deep sadness regarding the loss, which is noted as a significant event for the Khadrya community and the wider Islamic Ummah.
