Khanh Binh - Chrey Thom international border gate inaugurated
The Khanh Binh - Chrey Thom international land border gate was officially inaugurated on October 3, 2026. The ceremony was co-organized by the authorities of An Giang Province in Vietnam and Kandal Province in Cambodia.
Located at the end of National Highway 91C, the Khanh Binh border gate connects directly to the Chrey Thom gate via the Long Binh - Chrey Thom bridge. This connection provides a direct route from the border region to Phnom Penh, covering a distance of approximately 76 kilometers.
The upgrade to an international border gate follows coordination between the two provinces since 2016. The new crossing is expected to strengthen economic, trade, and tourism connections between the Mekong Delta and Cambodia, as well as the broader ASEAN region. An Giang Province has set a target for import-export goods value through this border gate to reach approximately 1.2 billion USD by 2030.
