Vietnam accelerates major infrastructure and urban development projects

Vietnam is undergoing significant infrastructure and urban development across several provinces. In the north, the Vành đai 5 - Hanoi Capital Region project, spanning 349 km and seven provinces, is being prepared to boost industrial connectivity and FDI attraction. Additionally, a major 41,270 billion VND urban area project led by a Vingroup consortium is set to break ground in Bac Ninh to support the city's growth.

In central and southern regions, major transportation and urban projects are advancing. Vingroup's 18 billion USD Ha Long Xanh complex has contributed over 26,000 billion VND in land use fees to Quang Ninh's budget. In Khanh Hoa, a 2 billion USD mixed-use urban project in Vinh Luong is moving toward investor selection. Meanwhile, the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road and the Ho Chi Minh Highway expressway projects (Pleiku - Buon Ma Thuot - Gia Nghia) are progressing through various stages of land clearance and planning.

Other regional developments include the construction of the Bat Xat - Ba Sai border bridge between Vietnam and China, which is 65% complete, and the commencement of a 2,850 billion VND road and bridge project along the Red River in Hung Yen. However, challenges remain, such as the shortage of construction materials for key transport works and the need for accelerated land clearance in Dong Nai for the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4.
