Khánh Hòa province adopts revised 2021‑2030 master plan focusing on Vân Phong economic zone

On 30 June, the People's Committee of Khánh Hòa province held a conference to approve an adjustment to the province’s spatial planning for the 2021‑2030 period, with a vision extending to 2050. The revised plan expands the province’s land area to more than 8,700 km² and reorganises administrative units, incorporating the coastal and island sea space.

The plan designates the Vân Phong Economic Zone as a modern marine economic centre, intended to become a major driver of two‑digit growth. It outlines three growth poles: a northern hub in Vân Phong for industry and large‑scale logistics; a central urban corridor centred on Nha Trang‑Cam Lâm‑Cam Ranh for administration, services and knowledge; and a southern zone for tourism, clean energy, green industry and innovation. The province aims to become a centrally‑run city and a leading maritime and digital data hub by 2030, and to evolve into a large‑scale Asian maritime economic centre by 2050. Provincial officials stressed the need for swift removal of bottlenecks, close monitoring of implementation, and continued support for investors.
