Kia expands electric vehicle lineup with EV2 and EV3 rollouts
Kia is expanding its electric vehicle presence globally with the rollout of the EV2 and EV3 models. The EV2, a compact B-SUV produced in Slovakia, has seen strong early adoption in Europe, recording over 8,000 sales in its first three full months of availability. It is positioned as a competitive entry-level option against Chinese manufacturers, offering ranges up to 453 km.
The EV3 subcompact SUV is also seeing significant market activity. In North America, the 2027 model is being positioned as an affordable entry point, with U.S. pricing starting as low as $29,890 for the Light FWD trim. In Canada, it has become the country’s least expensive EV, with all-in pricing starting at $39,744. The EV3 features various battery options, with higher trims providing up to 517 km of range.
In other regions, Kia is strengthening its portfolio through hybrid and electric offerings. In Ecuador, the brand introduced hybrid versions of the Sportage, Sorento, and Carnival. In Peru, Kia has launched the 'Kia Total' campaign, offering special financing and discounts on models like the Sportage and Tasman pick-up.
