Kia Accelerates European EV Growth with Record Sales and New Discounts
Kia has become the fastest‑growing brand among Europe’s top‑ten automakers, delivering 49,382 vehicles in May 2026 – a 14.9% increase over the same month last year. This lifted its European market share to 4.3% (4.1% within the EU). Electric‑vehicle demand is driving the surge: Kia sold 15,443 EVs in May, led by the EV3 with 4,770 units, while total sales of battery‑electric, hybrid and plug‑in models reached 30,995 units from January to May.
