Kia XCeed facelift and Jeep Compass all‑wheel‑drive upgrades released

Kia has refreshed its XCeed compact crossover for the European market. The facelift adds new front and rear styling, nine paint options and updated interior touches such as two 12.3‑inch screens. Powertrain options remain the same turbo‑charged gasoline units (115‑180 hp) with mild‑hybrid assistance, and prices start at €28,390 up to €36,090.

For the EV segment, Kia unveiled the 2027 EV4 model year. A top‑spec AWD version with a combined 265 hp (195 kW front, 70 kW rear) accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and adds a 22 kW onboard charger. Base front‑drive versions keep the €37,590 price, while the AWD variants start at €48,730‑€51,940. The EV4 keeps an 81.4 kWh battery delivering up to 560 km (WLTP) range and will be built at Kia’s plant in Zilina, Slovakia.

Jeep expanded its Compass lineup for Europe by adding a standard all‑wheel‑drive system. The AWD version uses a second electric motor on the rear axle, raising total output to 276 kW (375 hp) and lifting the price to €54,900. The model line also includes a 145 hp mild‑hybrid and a 225 hp plug‑in hybrid with a 21 kWh battery and 95 km electric range. Production is in Italy.

A recent family‑car guide highlighted the Kia EV4 as a spacious, non‑SUV electric option with a large 81.4 kWh battery, a price from €42,300 and up to 625 km WLTP range, positioning it among other European family‑friendly EVs.
