Kia Carens facelift spotted during testing in Hanoi

An updated version of the Kia Carens has been spotted at an emissions testing center in Hanoi, suggesting that THACO Auto may be preparing to launch the facelifted MPV in the Vietnamese market.

Observations of the vehicle indicate several design and feature changes. The new model features a more angular front end with sharp LED positioning lights, a slim grille, and redesigned air intakes. It is equipped with 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and sensors on both the front and rear bumpers. The interior is expected to offer 6 or 7-seat configurations with a dashboard integrating dual 10.25-inch screens.

While specific technical details for the Vietnamese market remain unconfirmed, the testing unit lacks the windshield camera setup typically used for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This suggests the specific vehicle being tested may be a lower or mid-range trim without advanced driver assistance features, though higher-end versions might still include them. In other markets like India, the updated model is branded as the Kia Carens Clavis.
