Kia EV6 GT ranks first in German high-performance EV comparison

The Kia EV6 GT has secured first place in a comprehensive comparison of high-performance electric vehicles conducted by the German automotive specialist publication, Auto Motor und Sport. The evaluation included five models: the Kia EV6 GT, Tesla Model Y Performance, Zeekr 7GT Privilege AWD, Polestar 4 Coupe Dual Motor, and BYD Sealion 7 AWD Excellence.

Scoring a total of 585 points, the Kia EV6 GT outperformed the Tesla Model Y Performance, which followed with 576 points. The Kia model achieved the highest scores in three critical categories: safety (89 points), powertrain (105 points), and driving performance (96 points).

In the safety category, the EV6 GT demonstrated superior braking performance, recording the shortest stopping distances among the tested vehicles. In the driving performance segment, it showed significant advantages in slalom and double lane-change tests, achieving the highest passage speeds. The publication noted that the EV6 GT was the only vehicle to exhibit distinct sports driving characteristics, highlighting its virtual gear shift and drift modes.
