Kia expands electric commercial vehicle lineup with PV7 and PV5 updates

Kia is expanding its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) lineup with new electric commercial vehicle options. The upcoming Kia PV7, expected to arrive in 2027, is an intermediate-sized van offering up to 460 km of autonomy and 800V fast charging. Designed for both cargo and passenger use, the PV7 features a modular interior and advanced connectivity via Android Automotive OS and a voice assistant named Gleo AI.

Additionally, Kia has introduced a long-range battery option for the PV5 Chassis Cab. Starting in September 2026, this version will feature a 71.2 kWh battery, providing greater flexibility for professional fleets requiring longer distances between charges. The new battery supports 120 kW DC fast charging, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.
