Kia expands electric van lineup with upcoming PV7 reveal

Kia is expanding its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) lineup with the upcoming reveal of the PV7, a large electric van. The PV7 is scheduled to debut on September 14 at the IAA Transportation show in Hanover, Germany. Designed to compete with models like the Mercedes-Benz Vito and Renault Trafic E-Tech, the PV7 will offer greater cargo capacity than its smaller sibling, the PV5.

The PV5, which is already in mass production at Kia’s Hwaseong EVO Plant in South Korea, has seen significant commercial success. Kia recently announced that the PV5 lineup has expanded to 10 different body styles, including a 7-seater passenger version and an upscale Prime model. Through the first eight months of 2026, Kia reported global sales of over 39,000 PV5 units.
