Kia expands electric vehicle lineup with EV3 and high-performance GT models
Kia is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the compact EV3 crossover and a new range of high-performance GT models. The EV3 is designed as a more attainable battery-electric vehicle, offering an estimated NEDC range of approximately 511 km. It features a single electric motor producing 204 PS and includes interior amenities such as dual panoramic screens, wireless charging, and a unique floating armrest designed for utility.
In addition to the standard models, Kia is introducing GT variants for the EV3, EV4 hatchback, EV4 fastback, and EV5. These high-performance models transition the GT badge from aesthetic trim to mechanical upgrades, featuring outputs between 292 and 306 horsepower. The GT lineup includes all-wheel-drive configurations, recalibrated throttle mapping, quicker steering ratios, and stiffer suspension setups. To enhance driving dynamics, these models utilize a predictive damping system that uses forward-facing cameras to adjust electronic dampers in real-time based on road conditions.
