Kia expands electric vehicle offerings with EV4 and PV5 models

Kia is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with new models focused on long-distance travel and versatile passenger utility.

The Kia EV4 was tested on a long-distance journey from Wuppertal to the Zillertal Arena in Austria. The vehicle demonstrated stable handling on mountain roads and efficient highway performance, aided by an adaptive cruise control system designed to reduce driver fatigue in heavy traffic.

Additionally, Kia is preparing an electric offensive in the European commercial and passenger vehicle market with the PV5. The PV5 Passenger model serves as a modern electric successor to the traditional minivan, offering configurations for five, six, or seven seats. The vehicle features a 4.7-meter length and a three-meter wheelbase, utilizing its electric powertrain to maximize interior space and accessibility through sliding doors and a low loading edge.
