Kia expands electric vehicle lineup with new SUVs and successful PV5 van

Kia is expanding its electric vehicle lineup across various segments, including compact SUVs, family vehicles, and commercial vans.

In the consumer market, the Kia EV2 has launched in Greece as an affordable electric SUV with a starting price of 24,490 euros, including state subsidies. Meanwhile, the Kia EV5 is being positioned as a mid-sized family SUV. Built on a 400V E-GMP platform to maintain affordability, the EV5 offers significant space and a battery capacity of 81.4 kWh. In the Czech market, it is noted for its comfort and practical range.

In the commercial sector, the Kia PV5 electric van has seen significant success in Europe. During the first half of the year, Kia delivered 13,116 units of the PV5, capturing a 37 percent market share in the electric C-segment. The model has topped sales charts in 12 European countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, and several Nordic nations like Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Unlike many competitors, the PV5 was designed from the ground up as a zero-emission vehicle using the E-GMP platform.
